The Chapel of St. Andrew

Easter 2014

The Chapel is a part of the Cathedral Church of St. Michael, Kobe. It has a dual purpose; to serve as a place of worship or prayer and meditation for seafarers visiting the port of Kobe, and also for those residents and visitors to Kobe who wish to worship following the Anglican / Episcopal traditions.

As well as the regular Sunday church services, we are able to hold special services for funerals, weddings and baptisms. Services can also be arranged on ships.

The chapel is open daily from 14:00 until 22:00 for quiet meditation or personal prayer.  One of the chaplains is usually on hand to help with any problems.

Service Times

There are services of Holy Communion every Sunday morning with the first Sunday of the month adopting the more informal and interactive 'cafe style' of worship.  All are welcome to join these services, which start at 10:30, and to receive the sacrament.

Other services can be arranged upon request; either on-board ships or at the Centre.

More up-to-date details about special services can be found by reading the Centre's Facebook page.
